The United States team competes in the synchronised swimming event at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.
(Palo Alto, Calif.) - The 2009 U.S. Synchronized Swimming National Championships will make a splash at the Avery Aquatic Center, April 30 - May 2. More than 100 elite athletes will vie for national titles in the solo, duet and team events in the nation's most prestigious competition. The 2009 U.S. National Championships will mark the 64th year of national competition in the duet and team events and the 60th year of solo competition.
Stanford University is no stranger to U.S. Synchronized Swimming as it has hosted the 2006 U.S. Collegiate National Championships and the 2004 U.S. National Championships.
Synchronized swimming requires a combination of strength, precision, grace and teamwork, and is considered a culmination of swimming, gymnastics and dance.
